WHAT TO LOOK FOR WITH MICRO BALANCER TREATMENT
1)
WATER CONSERVATION-After application of Micro Balancer, the soil should
hold the water longer since it will have space due to flocculation.
2)
NITROGEN COMPARISON- Use reduced amount of Nitrogen on the Micro Balancer
treated portion of the field. (Determined by Soil Restoration, LLC soil test)
3)
COMPACTION STUDY- Will determine soil compaction by probing the soil on
the treated and non-treated areas.
4)
SOIL LIFE- Determine the presence
of earthworms and earthworm castings on the treated and non-treated portions of the field.
5)
STAND UNIFORMITY - Determine the difference between treated and untreated
portions of fields by evenness of growth of plants. This can be determined later
in the season.
6)
TIMELINESS OF APPLICATION – It is imperative that application of
Micro Balancer be made early enough for organisms to develop in the soil. These
organisms must make available all the nutrients necessary for the plant to develop
naturally. At the induction of the reproductive stage, all nutrients to assure head length (spike) and number of rows, are
increased to reach optimum production.
7)
BALANCED NUTRITION - There will always be more rows on an ear and the length
of the ear will be increased when adequate nutrition is available. Dented corn will exhibit a shallower dent or an absence
of dent as well. Bushel weights of grain and corn will be increased when the nutrition is balanced. In cotton, a higher percentage of 5 carpel bolls will occur. Each
carpel will have a higher number of seeds. Lint yield is determined by seed yield
because lint is a product of the seed. In balanced soils, vegetables will be
healthy & nutritious.
